Waiting for Baby – A New Twist in the Plot
Hey there friends,
Checking in today with a Thursday catch up on my own “IVF journey”.
For those who need a refresher (trust me I do too!), the hubs and I have been waiting to implant embryo #2 (our bumble bee) until after my work travel settled down.
Well, after one final conference this weekend, we had anticipated starting our next round June 1.
I’m a planner, so I’d planned the last 5 months for this to be the case.
But, life didn’t see it that way and for a Type A person, it’s a growing pain for me yet again.
Yet, in a good kind of way.
My husband has been offered a 6 month project management position in Switzerland starting mid June.
When I got the news (and heard the excitement in this voice) I couldn’t say no. More about that here, too!
So, we’re going to be packing our bags and heading out to the alps for a temporary placement.
But, don’t worry, this community will still remain afloat, and if anything, have more content since I’ll likely have fewer distractions and more time to really focus on what I see the future of this community evolving into (with your insight, obviously!)
I’ll be commuting back and forth to the states so many of you will likely not even realize I’m gone (of course unless you really wonder why I’m tweeting or Facebooking at odd hours with the 9 hour time difference!)
Now, what about bumble bee?
Bumble bee remains nice and cozy in the freezer (don’t worry, he/she has a blanket!)
We’ve decided rather than stressing and trying to implant during the times I’m home, we’re going to wait until December when we’re both back (and he can help me with those damn progesterone shots).
Perhaps this is God’s way of showing us that hey, relax a little bit, take some time Liz to regroup, refocus and come back ready to make a baby!
Or hell, who knows, maybe He’ll reset my body and bring me a Switzerland present! I can only hope, right?
Until then, I promise to remain here, with you, for you, and supporting you on your journey however I can.
Hugs and baby dust to you all,
Liz
